Our fighters had a great performance Saturday night. These athletes showed great character throughout the entire show and let it all hang out for mma fans to enjoy. The crowd was excited and the fights were explosive. Our training camps are continuous and consistently produce top mma competitors.
A great night just beginning!

Check out the blog on CCCW website here. It has some fight details and pictures of champions.
Saturday Night’s fights were exciting. They were up, down and it ended with a bang. Our team had a great time and learned a lot. Everyone is healthy and eager to begin another training camp.
Thank you everyone for coming to the open house and listening to me talk about our programs and athletes. We are looking forward to more open house opportunities in the near future

Big Thanks to the Rochester Youth Wrestling Program for letting us put on a small clinic at their facility. The parents and coaching staff are truly dedicated to their kids having fun and learning the sport. Keep up the good work!
I hope to train with them again!

Robbins MMA is always looking to put on educational/motivational clinics for youth sports including off-season sport specifics for coaches and athletes (jumpers, throwers, hitters, etc.), not to mention youth wrestling. We are interested in everyone training to have the right tools to keep their athletes safe and training methods current.
Now that’s how you should look at it. January IS a beginning and a chance to “start fresh.” What was worrisome last year is now minimal and your eyes are on the prize. I am talking competition, academia, business, and most of all, Life.
Stay focused on what your intuition tells you. Don’t underestimate the power of your own beliefs.

We had a great trip to Grappling Concepts last week.
Mark, Business, John, and I made the trip to St. Louis to work out with J.W. and his crew. We got there around 7 and sat in on the last part of his beginner class and then stuck around to roll for about another 2 straight hours.
Afterward we stopped at Denny’s where I ate a Texican bbq bacon burger, making for a long ride home for everybody. These are awesome trips and I’ve always come away with something new and a notable improvement on my game. This has to come from rolling with new people with new strengths and habits. Every time I go down there I get caught with new stuff which always helps my defense and strategy.
J.W.’s school and instruction is a great asset, and we’ll be looking forward to plenty more trips down there.
We’ve outgrown our first facility already and have moved.
Classes are now being held at 4630 W. Wabash, just past Culvers and just South of Kulavic’s Auto Body. The new place is super nice with a lot of room. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible!
Look for some pics soon. I know I say that alot, but this time I mean it!
Thought I better post a quick update of some of the latest news from Springfield’s best MMA School.
First of all, congratulations to all of our guys who fought and won in the last Capital City Cage Wars. There’s no better publicity than going 4 and 0 at the real deal and cleaning house. If you want to train to fight, this is the place to be.
Again, way to go guys, you made us all proud!
But lets not get carried away patting ourselves on the back. We have 8 more guys ready for a fight around the corner in Peoria on November 21. I’ll post a link to some info as I find it. A lot of these guys are heading out for the first time in the cage. I’m sure they’re going to raise a few eyebrows when our guys making their maiden voyage are looking like some seasoned veterans. Justin, Mark, and Ryan are leading our fighters and a gym full of good training partners to another impressive showing I’m sure.
Right after - and I do mean right after - our humble gym is ready for expanding already and will be leaving Jefferson behind for more space and more visibility on West Wabash. We’re moving just west of the Culvers and Buffalo Wild Wings on West Wabash at the end of November. Justin and company are working their asses off getting it ready to go. I’ve been by a couple times, and it’s gonna be sweet.
Finally - for now anyway - Justin will be preparing for a King of the Cage title fight in Japan in January of 2010. Be looking for a training blog and some pics of all the past events coming soon.
